Meet the author

For the last six years I have been recording conversations with women leaders - general managers, chefs, founders, investors, strategists - from Sydney to Seattle, Bangkok to Berlin. Two hundred and eighteen of them have been analysed for this book.

Through the analysis of these podcast episodes we discovered something. Not one of them started out knowing what she wanted. Every one of them found her own way to lead, usually by ignoring the version of leadership she had been handed.

That is the book. Their stories, my own and the practical bit - what to actually do about it.

It is not finished, and I am not going to pretend I know when it will be. What I can tell you is that if you leave your name here, you will hear it from me first - before the announcement, before the noise.
